Tre Ward
Tre Ward is a reporter for ABC 7 Chicago, the city's No. 1 station for news.

Ward came to ABC 7 from WBAL-TV in Baltimore, Maryland, where he specialized in live, developing news stories. Those efforts contributed to the WBAL news team winning a regional Edward R. Murrow Award for the breaking coverage of the death of Congressman Elijah Cummings.

Prior to that, he was a TV news reporter at WLKY-TV, in Louisville, Kentucky and WAAY-TV in Huntsville, Alabama.

Ward got his start as a news producer at KWQC-TV in Davenport, Iowa where he wrote and produced daily newscasts.

A Chicago native, Ward enjoys reading, traveling, dancing and debating which Marvel movie is the best.

As a youngster, he was a regular at the Bud Billiken Parade. One of his favorite childhood memories was getting a little advice and encouragement from aspiring Illinois Sen. Barack Obama when he was only 5 years old.

Ward is a graduate of Northern Illinois University.
